The HERTEL 79891693 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Ground to a 118-degree standard point angle with web thinning for improved center penetration, this bit cuts a 0.0330-inch diameter hole corresponding to wire gauge size 66. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.4844 inches in diameter, and the overall length is 1.125 inches. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the carbide substrate exposed for applications where coating buildup or chemical interaction with workpiece material is a concern. Machinists and toolroom technicians working with small-diameter precision holes in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials will find this an appropriate tool for the application.
This drill bit is suited for light-duty machining operations on aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and soft materials where tight-tolerance holes are required.
