The HERTEL 750916 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, tool and die, and general machining applications. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, 1/2 inch length of cut, and 4 flutes, it delivers clean, accurate cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides edge retention and rigidity in demanding cut conditions. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright uncoated finish makes this end mill well suited for non-ferrous materials, aluminum, and general-purpose use where coatings are not required. Machinists and tool room operators working on CNC mills, manual knee mills, and machining centers are the primary users.
This end mill fits small-diameter milling work including slot milling, peripheral milling, and profiling passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Its regular length geometry is suited for standard reach applications where extended reach tooling is unnecessary. The 1/8 inch shank diameter matches directly to ER collets, end mill holders, and small-bore tool holders commonly found on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The single-end configuration means the tool is replaced once the cutting end is worn rather than indexed or flipped.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout. Use a calibrated torque wrench when tightening collet nuts to the holder specification and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Small-diameter carbide end mills are brittle and susceptible to breakage from excessive side load, improper speeds and feeds, or loose tool holding.
