The HERTEL 750915 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. It features a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch shank diameter, making it well suited for fine-detail slot milling, profiling, and pocket work in confined geometries. The four-flute, single-end configuration delivers a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter. The uncoated micrograin carbide substrate offers sharpness and edge retention for close-tolerance work. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is appropriate for light-to-medium material removal in steel, aluminum, brass, and similar machinable materials at the bench or on CNC equipment. Its small diameter makes it a common choice for fine-feature work such as narrow slots, small pockets, and contour passes where larger tooling cannot reach. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, adding flexibility to toolpath programming. Overall length of 1-1/2 inches keeps overhang minimal and helps maintain rigidity at this diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct equivalent for 3/32 inch diameter, 1/8 inch shank, four-flute solid carbide square end mills used in standard ER collet chucks and straight-shank tool holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in e-stop before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully into a matching collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. At 3/32 inch diameter, tool deflection and breakage risk increase significantly with excessive side load or incorrect speeds and feeds — verify cutting parameters against the material being machined before running.
