The HERTEL 750803 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 5/16-inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/8-inch length of cut, this tool removes material efficiently in slot milling, profiling, and contouring work. The 2-flute configuration provides good chip evacuation, and the 30-degree spiral helix promotes smooth cutting action. A titanium nitride (TiN) finish increases surface hardness and extends tool life under sustained cutting loads. Right-hand cut with centercutting capability allows this end mill to plunge directly into material when required. The 3-inch overall length and 5/16-inch shank diameter suit standard collet and end mill holder setups found on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC vertical machining centers, knee mills, and toolroom mills performing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. The centercutting geometry makes it appropriate for interpolation and plunge entry. The TiN coating adds value in moderate-speed production runs where uncoated carbide would wear prematurely. This is a single-end tool, so once the cutting end is worn, the full tool is replaced. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators are the primary users.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 5/16-inch shank end mill holders, collet chucks, and ER collets on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a 5/16-inch square end mill with a 3-inch overall length.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify collet size matches the 5/16-inch shank before tightening. Inspect the tool shank and holder bore for chips or debris before seating, and confirm runout with a dial indicator when precision tolerances are required.
