The HERTEL 750655 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal fabrication and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide, it offers a 15/32-inch (0.4688 inches) cutting diameter with a 1-inch length of cut. The 2-flute, spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining sharp cutting action. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous metals and general-purpose milling. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry, and features right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC programmers in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill fits standard milling machines, vertical machining centers, and CNC mills that accept a 1/2-inch shank. The 15/32-inch diameter is commonly selected when a near-half-inch bore or slot is required without going to a full 1/2-inch cut. With a 3-inch overall length and no extended reach, it is best suited for shallow to moderate-depth work where rigidity is a priority. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction performs well in aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials, as well as some steels at appropriate feeds and speeds.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 1/2-inch shank end mill holders and collet chucks used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills. Compatible with any machine accepting a 1/2-inch straight shank toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the end mill. Secure the shank fully within the collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting to ensure accuracy and safe operation.
