The HERTEL 750650 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, 1-1/8 inch length of cut, and a 3-flute geometry, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and clean edge finishes in slots, pockets, and profiling passes. The AlTiN coating adds surface hardness and thermal resistance, making this tool well-suited for higher-speed dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into workpieces without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Installed by machinists and toolroom professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for use in job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom applications where consistent dimensional accuracy is required. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The solid carbide micrograin substrate provides rigidity appropriate for medium to high material removal rates in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced once the cutting end is worn.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard 3/8 inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear and degrades surface finish.
