The HERTEL 750645 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, composite, and hard material applications. At 1/32 inch (0.0313 inch) diameter with a 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch) length of cut, this is a micro-end mill built for tight-tolerance work in fine detail slots, pockets, and contours. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, and the TiN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance for extended tool life. With two flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, it suits climb and conventional milling strategies on CNC machining centers and manual mills alike. Installed by machinists and tooling professionals in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for small-scale milling operations requiring high precision at the micro level. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets on CNC mills, routers, and manual vertical mills. The 1-1/2 inch overall length keeps the tool compact and rigid, minimizing deflection during light-pass finishing cuts. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into workpieces. Micrograin carbide construction makes it appropriate for harder workpiece materials where high-speed steel tooling would wear prematurely. Typical applications include die and mold work, medical component machining, and precision aerospace part finishing.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill with a 1/8 inch shank, compatible with ER collets and other standard 1/8 inch collet systems on CNC machining centers, manual vertical mills, and precision routers.
A licensed machinist or qualified tooling professional should handle installation and setup. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or tool holder. Use a properly sized collet and torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. At 1/32 inch diameter, this tool is highly susceptible to breakage from excessive feed rates, runout, or improper workholding - verify spindle runout and program conservative cutting parameters before production use.
