The HERTEL 750602 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/16 inch cutting diameter and a 3/16 inch length of cut, this tool handles tight-tolerance slots, pockets, and peripheral milling in small-feature work. The 2-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) finish increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and hard alloy materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the edge strength needed for fine detail work at small diameters.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and small-format machining operations where tight dimensional control is required. The centercutting design allows plunge milling in addition to standard peripheral and slot cuts. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet sets, making it compatible with common ER and precision collet toolholding systems. Right-hand cut and right-hand helix configuration follows the most common spindle orientation in production and job-shop environments. It is typically installed and used by machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, mold and die, medical device, and general precision manufacturing.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard collet toolholding systems accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before seating or removing the tool from the collet. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the collet nut appropriate for your toolholder to achieve proper clamping force without distorting the shank. At 1/16 inch diameter, this tool is sensitive to runout — verify collet condition and minimize gauge length to reduce deflection and breakage risk.
