The HERTEL 750544 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. With a 3/16 inch cutting diameter, a 9/16 inch length of cut, and a 3-flute geometry, this tool delivers a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality in tight-tolerance applications. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces cutting forces. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating CNC machining centers or manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and plunging operations in light to medium material removal applications. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole, making it versatile for both contour and pocket milling. The right-hand cut orientation is standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. A regular length configuration keeps the tool rigid and minimizes deflection in short-reach setups. Typical applications include mold and die work, fixture fabrication, and precision part machining in job shop and production environments.
Designed as a standard-shank solid carbide square end mill with a 3/16 inch shank diameter, compatible with ER-style collet chucks, end mill holders, and other tool holders accepting a 3/16 inch straight shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing the end mill. Use a properly sized collet or tool holder that matches the 3/16 inch shank diameter, and verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts. Always apply appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain surface finish quality.
