The HERTEL 750497 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling applications. It features a 0.75-inch cutting diameter, a 2.25-inch length of cut (LOC), and a 5-inch overall length (OAL). The two-flute, single-end geometry paired with a 30-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation in a range of materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge cuts in addition to peripheral and slot milling operations.
Suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills across job shop, toolroom, and production environments. The 0.75-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders commonly found in vertical and horizontal milling setups. Right-hand cut configuration is compatible with standard spindle rotation. The AlTiN finish makes this tool particularly well-suited for ferrous materials and high-temperature alloys where surface oxidation resistance matters.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling addition for milling operations requiring a 0.75-inch shank, square-end, two-flute solid carbide end mill with AlTiN coating.
Installation is performed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in E-stop before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
