The HERTEL 750483 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal-cutting applications. At 11/64 inches (0.1719 inches) in diameter, it features 4 flutes with a 30-degree right-hand helix and a 9/16 inches length of cut. The tool is coated with AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride), a hard physical vapor deposition coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened material cuts. The 2 inches overall length and 3/16 inches shank diameter make it suited for compact toolholders in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Micrograin carbide construction delivers edge integrity at elevated cutting speeds.
This end mill is used in precision machining environments where small-diameter profile milling, slotting, and contouring are required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional lateral passes. Right-hand cutting direction and spiral flute configuration support efficient chip evacuation in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The regular length classification and single-end design make this a standard production tool for job shops, toolrooms, and manufacturing operations running tight-tolerance work on CNC or manual platforms.
Designed as a standard single-end square carbide end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/16 inches shank diameter collet or toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the 3/16 inches shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, particularly at this small diameter where even minor misalignment accelerates tool wear.
