The HERTEL 750472 is a square end mill designed for precision milling of slots, pockets, and profiling operations in a wide range of materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a Titanium Carbonitride (TiCN) coating, this tool delivers improved wear resistance and cutting performance compared to uncoated carbide. At 1/32 inch in diameter with a 3/32 inch length of cut and a 30-degree spiral helix, it is engineered for small-feature work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The centercutting geometry allows for direct plunge entry. Weighing 0.01 pounds, this is a compact, high-precision cutting tool suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and toolmakers.
This end mill is well suited for micro-milling applications in mold making, tool and die work, aerospace component machining, and electronics manufacturing where fine detail and tight tolerances are required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and small-bore tool holders. The 1-1/2 inch overall length keeps the tool rigid during high-speed passes. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling setups on most CNC platforms.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock end mill for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills using 1/8 inch collets or tool holders; no specific model compatibility data was provided with this product.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or tool holder. Use a calibrated torque wrench on collet nuts and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run. Avoid side loads that exceed the tool diameter-to-length-of-cut ratio recommended for micro-diameter carbide tools, as breakage risk increases significantly with deflection at this diameter.
