The HERTEL 750455 is a single-end square end mill designed for precise milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in machining center and CNC lathe applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this 4-flute tool delivers rigidity and edge retention that high-speed steel cannot match at elevated cutting speeds. The titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in abrasive materials. At 1 inch in cutting diameter with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and 4 inches overall length, the 750455 is sized for standard roughing and finishing passes where a regular-length reach is appropriate. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finish.
This end mill is suited for production machining environments where consistent tolerances are required. The 1-inch shank diameter provides a secure grip in standard end mill holders, collet chucks, or shrink-fit toolholders. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pilot hole, making it practical for pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations. Right-hand cutting direction matches conventional spindle rotation on vertical machining centers and horizontal mills. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, maintenance machining, and production facilities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct procurement option for 1-inch, 4-flute solid carbide square end mills used in standard CNC and manual milling applications requiring a regular-length, right-hand cut tool with a 1-inch shank.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or unloading the tool. Verify holder bore cleanliness and runout before tightening to avoid premature edge wear. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the holder type in use; do not overtighten collet nuts, as this can damage the shank.
