The HERTEL 750436 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and hard materials. It features a 13/64 inch (0.2031 inch) cutting diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 4-flute right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle. The TiN (titanium nitride) coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting environments. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention. This tool is single-end, centercutting, and suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge operations where a sharp, accurate corner radius is required.
The 750436 is intended for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines where a 1/4 inch shank diameter toolholder is available. It is well suited for ferrous and non-ferrous metal stock removal in job shop, maintenance, and production environments. The 2-1/2 inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard workpiece setups without sacrificing rigidity. Machinists and toolmakers handling precision component work will find this geometry appropriate for finish passes and light-to-moderate roughing in a range of materials.
Designed for use in CNC and manual milling setups accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter end mill. Suitable as a direct replacement or standard tooling selection wherever a 13/64 inch, 4-flute, TiN-coated solid carbide square end mill with a 30-degree helix is specified.
Install in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 1/4 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are de-energized and the machine is locked out before tool changes. Verify shank insertion depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum engagement requirement. Consult machine and toolholder documentation for appropriate runout tolerances and torque specifications when tightening the holder.
