The HERTEL 750384 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 4-flute, spiral-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. At 0.125 inches in cutting diameter with a 0.75-inch length of cut and a 2-inch overall length, this is a compact tool suited for fine detail work and tight-tolerance slots, pockets, and profiles. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into a workpiece without a pre-drilled hole.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and tool-and-die operations where small-diameter precision cutting is required. It is well suited for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling in aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, and similar materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation compatible with conventional spindle setups. Its uncoated finish makes it straightforward to sharpen and suitable for use where coatings are not required or preferred.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill with a 0.125-inch shank diameter, compatible with collets and tool holders sized for 1/8 inch shanks on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered off and the spindle fully stopped. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the correct insertion depth. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to maintain tolerance and extend tool life. Follow shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
