The HERTEL 750341 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), this single-end tool delivers extended wear life and improved surface finishes compared to uncoated HSS alternatives. It runs a 1/8 inch cutting diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during climb and conventional milling operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills for slotting, profiling, and light pocketing work.
This end mill is suited for small-diameter work in ferrous alloys, aluminum, and similar materials where tight tolerances and fine finishes are required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, making it compatible with standard collets and end mill holders configured for that bore size. The 2.25 inch overall length keeps the tool rigid in shallow-to-moderate reach applications. With four flutes and no chipbreaker geometry, it is optimized for finish milling passes and moderate material removal rates in stable setups.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill-mill setups using 1/8 inch collets or end mill holders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish on small-diameter end mills.
