The HERTEL 750324 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 1/16 inch cutting diameter and 4-flute spiral geometry, this end mill delivers clean, accurate cuts in tight-tolerance applications. The titanium nitride (TiN) coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding conditions. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup at the cutting edge. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, giving machinists greater flexibility in toolpath strategy. This tool is installed and operated by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where small-diameter precision is required. The 3/16 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-depth passes in miniature component machining, mold work, and detailed part finishing. The 1/8 inch shank diameter accommodates standard collet chucks and end mill holders found on vertical machining centers and CNC routers handling small-part work. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation conform to standard spindle rotation on most CNC platforms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill compatible with standard 1/8 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC vertical machining centers, CNC routers, and manual knee mills configured for small-diameter tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Secure the shank to the full recommended insertion depth in the collet or end mill holder to minimize runout and prevent tool pullout during cutting. Inspect the cutting edges and TiN coating for chips or wear before each use.
