The HERTEL 750219 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. With a 5/8 inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, this tool removes material efficiently across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The four-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and reduces chatter during cuts. A titanium nitride (TiN) finish increases surface hardness and extends tool life under moderate cutting conditions. This end mill is single-end and centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. It is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators in job shop and production settings.
This end mill suits milling, profiling, slotting, and contouring operations on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The 5/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style holders commonly found in shop environments. The 3-1/2 inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard fixturing setups without sacrificing rigidity. Right-hand cutting direction is the conventional configuration for the majority of CNC vertical and horizontal milling applications.
Designed as a standard 5/8 inch shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with ER collet systems, end mill holders, and Weldon-style toolholders accepting a 5/8 inch shank.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to avoid premature edge wear or workpiece dimensional errors.
