The HERTEL 750124 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering-grade plastic workpieces. With a 3/16 inch cutting diameter and a 4-flute, 30-degree helix spiral configuration, this tool produces clean square shoulders, slots, and pockets with good chip evacuation and surface finish. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and edge retention required for demanding cuts. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be plunged directly into material as well as used for conventional peripheral and slot milling. Machinists and toolroom technicians in production and job-shop environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose milling on CNC machining centers and manual mills where a small-diameter, short-reach tool is called for. The 3/4 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth cuts in tight workspaces or small-feature geometry. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard spindle conventions. The bright uncoated finish is compatible with a wide range of base materials where coating adhesion or thermal management is not a critical factor.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for 3/16 inch diameter, 4-flute solid carbide square end mills in standard 3/16 inch shank toolholders, collet chucks, and end mill holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 3/16 inch shank fully and evenly in a matched collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use. Do not exceed manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
