The HERTEL 750118 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) cutting diameter and a 2-inch length of cut, this tool delivers clean, flat-bottomed profiles and sharp square corners. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts. Its 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and extending tool life. This is a single-end, uncoated tool suited for shops that apply their own coatings or work in materials where uncoated carbide performs best.
The HERTEL 750118 is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling. Its centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into workpieces, making it effective for pocketing operations. The right-hand cut and standard regular length profile make it a go-to choice for machinists working in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, and similar materials across job shop and production environments.
Designed for use in standard 7/16 inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and conventional knee mills.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
