The HERTEL 750090 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. It features a 3/16-inch cutting diameter with a 1-1/8-inch length of cut, giving it reach suited to slotting, profiling, and pocketing in confined workspaces. The four-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and improved surface finish. The bright, uncoated finish on micrograin carbide stock makes this end mill well-suited to use with cutting fluids and in applications where coating adhesion is not required. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Machinists and toolroom operators working in job shops and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is used in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual milling machines running fractional-inch tooling. Its 3/16-inch shank diameter matches common collet and end mill holder sizes in that fractional range. The 3-inch overall length provides clearance for standard tool holders without excessive overhang. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are the standard configuration for conventional milling setups. The HSQSC4-CC series designation places it in a family of center-cutting square end mills intended for general-purpose material removal across ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed as a fractional-inch single-end square end mill for use in collets, end mill holders, and chucks sized for 3/16-inch shanks on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Series: HSQSC4-CC.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked state before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Verify collet or holder bore size matches the 3/16-inch shank diameter before clamping. Minimize tool overhang beyond the holder to reduce deflection and vibration during cutting.
