The HERTEL 750089 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and four spiral flutes ground at a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean, accurate cuts with efficient chip evacuation. The centercutting design allows plunge entry into the workpiece. Overall length is 3 inches with a 1 inch length of cut, making it well suited for shallow-to-moderate depth profiling, slotting, and contouring passes. This tool is uncoated solid carbide, making it appropriate for dry cutting or use with compatible cutting fluids.
The 750089 is intended for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed spindle applications where tight tolerances and small-diameter tooling are required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders in that bore size. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component profiling, printed circuit board edge milling, and general-purpose finish milling on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard industry convention for most vertical and horizontal milling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit solid carbide square end mill for any machine tool equipped with a 1/8 inch collet, end mill holder, or equivalent tool holding system accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth per the holder manufacturer guidance, and torque the retention mechanism per that holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, especially at small diameters where even minor runout significantly affects tool life and part accuracy.
