The HERTEL 750001 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. With a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter and three flutes, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish in tight spaces and small-feature work. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance suited for high-speed cutting. A 30-degree helix angle balances cutting efficiency with tool stability. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. It is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC and manual milling applications.
This end mill is well-suited for small-diameter slot milling, profiling, and contour work in production and job-shop environments. The 3/8 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-medium-depth passes where rigidity and precision are critical. The 1/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet chucks and tool holders commonly found in benchtop CNC mills and full-size machining centers handling fine-feature work. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout tolerances. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or tool holder. Verify collet size matches the 1/8 inch shank diameter before tightening to the specified torque for the holder type in use. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use, as carbide tools can fracture if run at incorrect feeds and speeds or if impacted.
