The HERTEL 74130196 is a screw machine length drill bit designed for high-speed, close-tolerance drilling in metal fabrication and machining applications. Built from cobalt high-speed steel (HSCO), it delivers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS bits, making it suitable for harder workpiece materials including stainless steel, cast iron, and high-nickel alloys. The 135-degree split point geometry reduces walking on entry and requires less feed force than a conventional 118-degree point. At 1.875 inches overall length, the stub-length body provides added rigidity and reduced deflection in screw machine and drill press setups.

This bit is sized at 0.125 inches (1/8 inch) diameter and is intended for use in screw machines, CNC drill presses, and manual drilling operations where a short, rigid bit is preferred over jobber-length tooling.
