The HERTEL 72013204 is a chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metal workpieces. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers consistent sizing and smooth surface finish in production and maintenance machining applications. The reamer measures 0.1320 inches in diameter with a 3.5 inch overall length and a 0.875 inch flute length. Four straight flutes cut in a right-hand direction, providing clean material removal. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks or collets. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and maintenance mechanics reach for this style of reamer when a drilled or bored hole needs to be brought to a precise finished diameter.
This reamer is suited for light-to-medium stock removal on through-holes and blind holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is commonly used in job shops, maintenance facilities, and production lines where hole tolerance and finish are critical. The 0.1320 inch diameter falls within the 0.1000 to 0.1499 inch decimal inch reamer range, making it appropriate for small-bore work such as pin holes, bushing bores, and precision dowel fits.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer compatible with standard drill presses, lathes, milling machines, and CNC machining centers equipped with a drill chuck or collet capable of holding a straight-cylindrical shank in the applicable diameter range.
Chucking reamers are installed by machinists and tool and die technicians using standard machine tool setups. Always secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before starting the spindle. Apply an appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Pre-drill or bore the hole to within recommended stock-removal allowance before reaming to avoid overloading the flutes.
