The HERTEL 7000432 is a right-hand indexable boring bar designed for precision internal turning and boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built to toolholder style A08SDUCR2, it accepts DC.. 21.51 series inserts secured by screw-style clamping. The bar features a 0.5-inch shank diameter and an 8-inch overall length, giving operators reach for deeper setups while maintaining rigidity. Through-coolant capability via a 1/16-27 NPT coolant port keeps cutting temperatures down and extends insert life. The steel construction provides the torsional stiffness needed for consistent bore finish in production environments. Qualified machinists and toolroom operators working in metalworking, aerospace, and general machining applications will find this bar a reliable workhorse for tight-tolerance bores.
This boring bar is suited for internal diameter operations requiring a minimum bore of 0.73 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.5 inches. The toolholder style A08SDUCR2 is a widely recognized boring bar designation for screw-clamped insert systems. It is appropriate for use in right-hand boring applications on CNC turning centers and manual lathes across job shop, production machining, and toolroom environments. With through-coolant enabled, it is particularly effective when machining steels, cast iron, and other ferrous materials where heat management at the cutting edge is critical.
Designed for use with DC.. 21.51 series indexable inserts. Minimum bore diameter using a diamond insert cartridge is 0.25 inches. Toolholder style A08SDUCR2 is compatible with standard 0.5-inch round shank boring bar holders on CNC lathes and manual turning centers equipped for right-hand internal operations.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Before mounting the boring bar, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Confirm the shank is fully seated and clamped in the toolholder before indexing or running; inadequate clamping can cause deflection or insert failure. Connect the through-coolant line to the 1/16-27 NPT port and verify coolant flow before commencing a cut.
