The HERTEL 66694167 is a No. 17 wire-size jobber-length drill bit ground from high speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating. The 135-degree split point reduces walking on entry and lowers thrust requirements compared to a conventional 118-degree grind. At 3-3/8 inches overall length with a 2-3/16-inch flute length and a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.1730 inches, this bit fits standard drill chucks without an adapter. The heavy-duty grade designation and web-thinned, tapered-web construction make it well-suited for repetitive holemaking in steel, aluminum, and general-purpose metals.
