The HERTEL 62852819 is a single-end roughing end mill engineered for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool features a TiAlN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The 3/4 inch diameter, 4-flute coarse-pitch spiral design breaks chips efficiently and reduces cutting forces during heavy passes. With a 3 inch length of cut and 5-1/4 inch overall length, it suits deep-pocket roughing and slot milling in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.

This end mill is suited for roughing passes in job shop, production machining, and toolroom environments. It performs in vertical and horizontal milling machines as well as CNC machining centers. The coarse pitch geometry is particularly effective when removing large amounts of material from steel, stainless steel, and other tough alloys in a single or multiple passes before a finish end mill is applied.
