The HERTEL 45676483 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.369 inch diameter and a straight shank, this reamer is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes where close-tolerance bore finishing is required. The 6-flute geometry with a right-hand cutting direction provides smooth, efficient material removal and accurate sizing. A 1.25 inch flute length and 3.5 inch overall length make it well suited for moderate-depth reaming passes in production or toolroom environments. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This chucking reamer is used in applications requiring tight dimensional tolerances on reamed bores, such as dowel pin holes, bearing seats, and bushing bores in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bright polished finish reduces chip adhesion and friction during cutting, making it appropriate for materials that benefit from a free-cutting edge surface. Typical use environments include job shops, production machining cells, and maintenance toolrooms. The straight shank is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders across common spindle sizes.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer for use in straight-shank toolholders, drill chucks, and collet systems on CNC and manual machine tools requiring a 0.369 inch finished bore diameter.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with rotating cutting tool safety practices. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is securely clamped in the holder before use. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve bore finish. Do not use a reamer to remove excessive stock — pre-drill or bore the hole to within the standard reaming allowance before reaming to size.
