The HERTEL 45675113 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking applications. With a 0.193-inch diameter and a 4-flute straight flute geometry, it delivers consistent surface finish and tight dimensional tolerances in reamed bores. The bright polished coating reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-inch flute length, this reamer is suited for shallow-to-moderate depth holes accessed through standard drill chucks or collet holders. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and production operators working with CNC mills, drill presses, or manual lathes are the primary installers of this tooling.
This reamer is used in precision machining environments where drilled holes require final sizing to close tolerances. It is appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous materials where solid carbide tooling is preferred for its rigidity and wear resistance. The straight shank allows direct mounting in drill chucks, ER collets, or shrink-fit holders. Right-hand cutting direction means it is run with standard forward spindle rotation. Typical applications include fixture plates, bearing bores, bushing fits, and dowel pin holes in production and toolroom settings.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes equipped with drill chucks or collet systems that accept straight-shank tooling.
Installation and use of this reamer should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with speeds, feeds, and cutting fluid requirements for solid carbide tooling. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or removing the tool from its holder. Solid carbide is brittle and should not be subjected to side loads, interrupted cuts beyond its design parameters, or improper runout from worn or dirty collets. Always verify holder concentricity and tool projection before beginning a reaming operation.
