The HERTEL 45674819 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 0.1415 inches and a 4-flute straight flute geometry, it delivers accurate, smooth bores in a single pass. The straight cylindrical shank provides consistent tool holding in standard chuck setups. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.75-inch flute length, this reamer is suited for shallow-hole finishing operations requiring tight dimensional tolerances. The bright, uncoated carbide construction offers rigidity and wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This chucking reamer is used in general-purpose hole reaming on manual mills, lathes, and CNC machining centers. It is appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole finishing where bore diameter accuracy and surface finish are critical. The 0.1415-inch diameter places it in the smaller end of the decimal-inch reamer range, making it well suited for precision component work in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and general machining. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard right-hand spindle rotation.
Designed as a standard-tolerance chucking reamer for use in manual and CNC machine tool setups accepting straight cylindrical shank tooling in the corresponding diameter range.
This reamer is installed and operated by qualified machinists. Secure the straight shank firmly in a drill chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Pre-drill or bore the hole to an appropriate undersize before reaming to avoid overloading the flutes. Do not reverse spindle direction during or after cutting, as right-hand reamers are not designed for left-hand rotation under load.
