The HERTEL 45674611 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed to finish-ream precision holes to a 0.0933-inch diameter. With a 2-inch overall length and a 1/2-inch straight flute, this reamer is built for close-tolerance work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bright polished finish reduces friction and improves chip evacuation during cutting. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for use in conventional CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes. Machinists and toolroom technicians choose solid carbide construction for its rigidity and wear resistance when working in tight diameter ranges below 0.1 inch.
This chucking reamer is suited for production and precision machining environments where hole quality and diameter consistency are critical. It is commonly used in mold and die work, medical device manufacturing, aerospace component machining, and general metalworking applications requiring small-diameter finish reaming. The straight shank makes it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders commonly found in CNC and manual machine setups.
Designed as a straight-shank chucking reamer for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes equipped with standard drill chucks or collet systems accepting a straight shank in the small-diameter range.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or unloading the reamer. Secure the straight shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck with adequate grip length to prevent slippage under cutting loads. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain hole quality.
