The HERTEL 4006102 is a 5/8 inch diameter indexable insert drill designed for precision hole-making in metalworking applications. Built on a 4xD depth-to-diameter ratio, it reaches a maximum drill depth of 2.5 inches in a single pass. The tool accepts two HPMT052804-GP inserts and features a 1 inch straight cylindrical shank for rigid, repeatable clamping in standard drill chucks or toolholders. A coolant-through design with a 1/4 inch shank-end coolant thread supports high-speed metal removal while managing heat at the cutting zone. Right-hand cutting geometry and a steel body make this a durable workhorse for production drilling environments.
