The HERTEL 336-202060 is a solid carbide countersink designed for creating precise chamfered entry holes in metal, composite, and other hard materials. With a 3/16-inch head diameter, an 82-degree included angle, and six flutes, this countersink delivers clean, chatter-free cuts in applications where surface finish and hole geometry matter. The straight-cylindrical shank provides secure chuck engagement for consistent runout control. It is used by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and production fabricators who require reliable countersinking performance at small diameters.
This countersink is suited for light-duty precision work in aerospace, electronics, and general metalworking environments. The 82-degree included angle matches the common flat-head fastener specification used in many machined-component assemblies. At 3/16-inch head diameter, it is particularly effective for small-hole countersinking where larger tools would be impractical. It is typically run in a drill press, CNC machining center, or hand-held power tool with a standard collet or drill chuck.
Designed as an OEM-style countersink for use in standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power tools accepting a 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Countersinks should be installed by a qualified machinist or tooling professional familiar with cutting-tool setup and speeds-and-feeds selection. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout before cutting. Power down all equipment completely before changing or inspecting tooling. Do not exceed the recommended feed rate for the workpiece material, as carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to chipping under excessive lateral load.
