The HERTEL 336-002080 is a solid carbide countersink designed for creating conical seat recesses in metal, composite, and hard material workpieces. With a 3/16 inch head diameter and a 100-degree included angle, this tool produces a clean, accurate chamfer to accept flat-head fasteners or deburr drilled holes. Six flutes distribute cutting load evenly, reducing chatter and improving surface finish in production and maintenance machining applications. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks or collet holders without slippage. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians use this countersink in manual drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power tools.
This countersink is suited for light-duty to medium-duty material removal on workpieces where fastener-head flush-seating or edge deburring is required. The 100-degree included angle matches the seating geometry of many aerospace and industrial flat-head fastener standards. The 3/16 inch shank diameter makes it compatible with small-capacity chucks and precision collet systems commonly used on bench-top mills and drill presses. It is sold and packaged as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct stock countersink for use in standard 3/16 inch shank-capacity drill chucks and collet holders on drill presses, mills, and CNC equipment requiring a 100-degree countersink geometry.
A licensed machinist or qualified maintenance technician should install this tool in an appropriately rated chuck or collet holder rated for the shank diameter. Secure the shank fully within the chuck jaws or collet before operation and verify runout before cutting. Always follow applicable shop safety protocols, including eye protection and workpiece clamping, before engaging the spindle. Do not exceed the recommended RPM range for carbide tooling in the material being machined.
