The HERTEL 334-303080 is a solid carbide countersink designed for creating conical recesses in metal, plastic, and composite materials. With a 1/4 inch head diameter and a 100-degree included angle, this tool produces clean, accurate countersinks for fastener seating in precision machining and fabrication work. The 4-flute design provides a smooth cutting action and consistent finish. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1/4 inch in diameter, making it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and fabricators use this countersink in both manual and CNC drilling setups where tight tolerances and repeatable results are required.
This countersink is suited for applications in metalworking, light fabrication, and general machining where a 100-degree countersink angle is specified. The 100-degree included angle is commonly used for flathead fasteners in aerospace, automotive, and industrial assemblies. The compact 1/4 inch head and shank diameter make it well suited for work in tight clearances or on smaller workpiece features where a larger tool would be impractical.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling option for 1/4 inch straight-shank collet holders and drill chucks requiring a 100-degree carbide countersink.
Installation and use of this countersink should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with rotary cutting tools. Secure the straight cylindrical shank firmly in a compatible collet or drill chuck before operation, and verify that the spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter. Never exceed the recommended RPM range for carbide tooling in the application. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide can fracture if run in a damaged condition.
