The HERTEL 333-005050 is a solid carbide countersink designed for precision countersinking operations in metal, wood, and composite materials. The tool features a 3/8 inch head diameter and a 60-degree included angle, producing clean, accurate seat profiles for flat-head fasteners. With three flutes and a bright uncoated finish, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and consistent cutting performance. The 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank provides secure, concentric holding in standard drill chucks and collet holders. This countersink is suited for use in machine shop environments, production lines, and field maintenance applications where repeatable countersink geometry is required.
This countersink is intended for single-end countersinking operations without a pilot. It is well suited for machinists, tool and die technicians, and maintenance professionals working on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard drill press, CNC, and hand-held power tool setups. No pilot is included, so the operator controls hole alignment during the operation. Typical applications include deburring, chamfering, and seating flat-head screws or bolts flush with a workpiece surface.
Designed as a standard-fitment countersink for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power tools equipped with a 1/4 inch collet or chuck capable of accepting a straight cylindrical shank.
Installation of this countersink should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the shank firmly in a properly rated chuck or collet before operation, and verify that spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter. Always power down and de-energize the machine before mounting or removing the tool. Eye protection and appropriate chip guards should be in place during all cutting operations.
