The HERTEL 30208100 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. Built to wire gauge No. 46 (0.0810 inches / 2.06 mm), the bit features a 130-degree drill point angle and a fast spiral flute configuration with a 35-degree helix angle. The tapered web and bright polished finish support clean, accurate hole entry and chip evacuation. Right-hand cutting direction and solid carbide construction make this bit well-suited for production environments where consistency and tool life matter. Licensed trade professionals and shop technicians handling electronics assembly, PCB work, or precision machining rely on this geometry for repeatable results.
This drill bit is appropriate for use in circuit board drilling applications as well as precision hole work in alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, stainless steel, and titanium. The 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) shank diameter fits standard drill chucks and CNC spindle collets used in bench drilling and automated drilling operations. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a flute length of 0.375 inches (3/8 inch), the bit is sized for controlled depth in thin-stock and multi-layer board drilling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use drill bit for applications requiring a No. 46 wire-size, 1/8-inch shank solid carbide bit in standard drill chucks and CNC collet systems.
This bit is installed by machinists, electronics technicians, and precision drilling operators using compatible drill presses, CNC drilling equipment, or handheld drill stations. Ensure the spindle and collet are clean and properly secured before seating the 1/8-inch shank. Solid carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loading, cross-drilling angles, or excessive feed pressure that can cause fracture. Follow machine manufacturer speed and feed recommendations for carbide tooling in the specific workpiece material.
