The HERTEL 30207300 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 49 (0.0730 inches / 1.85 mm) with a 130-degree drill point angle. Built for precision small-hole drilling, it features a fast spiral flute geometry and a tapered web configuration that promotes chip evacuation and reduces thrust in tight-tolerance applications. The 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) straight shank fits standard drill chucks and CNC spindles. With a bright polished finish and a 35-degree helix angle, this bit is suited for electricians, PCB technicians, and precision fabricators working on circuit boards and fine-detail metalwork.
This drill bit is designed for use in printed circuit board drilling as well as precision drilling in a range of metallic materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloy, stainless steel, and titanium. The compact 3/8-inch flute length and 1-1/2-inch overall length make it well suited for benchtop drill presses, CNC drilling machines, and handheld precision drill stations. It is a single-piece consumable used in electronics manufacturing, electrical panel fabrication, and light machining environments.
Designed as a direct-fit circuit board drill bit for standard 1/8-inch shank drill chucks, benchtop drill presses, and CNC drilling spindles used in PCB and precision metalworking applications.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists, PCB technicians, or licensed electricians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify spindle speed is appropriate for the material and bit diameter. Carbide bits are brittle and can fracture if subjected to side loading or excessive feed pressure. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and replace immediately if chipping or wear is observed.
