The HERTEL 300-005502 is a solid carbide combination drill and countersink designed for simultaneous drilling and countersinking in a single pass. Built to Trade Size No. 2 with a 3/16 inch body diameter, it features a 118-degree drill point angle and a 60-degree included angle for countersinking. The titanium nitride (TiN) coating improves surface hardness and extends tool life in demanding materials. At 4 inches overall length, this is classified as a long-length tool. The right-hand cutting direction and plain cutting edge style suit standard CNC and manual drilling operations. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance pros use this tool where clean countersunk holes are required in one setup.
This combo drill countersink is suited for metalworking and fabrication applications where efficiency matters. The double end type offers extended tool life by providing two usable ends. With a 5/64 inch drill point diameter and 5/64 inch drill point length, it produces accurate pilot holes and countersinks in a single operation. Typical applications include preparing holes for flat-head screws in metal components across light manufacturing, aerospace-adjacent maintenance work, and precision machining environments. It is not an aircraft-style tool and is not tapered.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use combo drill countersink for Trade Size No. 2 applications in standard machining and fabrication setups requiring a 3/16 inch body diameter tool.
This tool is installed by machinists or maintenance technicians in drill presses, CNC machining centers, or hand-held drilling equipment. Ensure the spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the tool. Secure the workpiece firmly before cutting to prevent movement and tool breakage. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the tool if chipping or wear is visible.
