The HERTEL 300-001508 is a solid carbide combo drill countersink designed to drill and countersink in a single pass. The tool features a titanium nitride (TiN) coating for extended wear resistance and reduced friction during cutting. With a 0.5 inch body diameter, a 7/32 inch drill point diameter, and a 60-degree included angle, it produces clean, consistent countersinks sized for a No. 6 fastener. The 118-degree drill point angle suits a wide range of material types. At 3 inches overall length, it fits standard drill press and CNC setups. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this type of tool in precision metalworking environments where combined drilling and countersinking saves cycle time.
This combo drill countersink is suited for use in machine shops, production facilities, and maintenance environments where No. 6 fastener clearance holes with countersunk seats are required. The right-hand cutting direction and plain cutting edge style make it compatible with conventional drill presses, milling machines, and CNC machining centers running standard right-hand spindle rotation. The double end type extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. It is not designed for aircraft-style or long-length applications.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement-style combo drill countersink for No. 6 trade size applications requiring a 0.5 inch body diameter and right-hand cut in standard drill press, manual mill, or CNC machining center setups.
This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in standard toolholders rated for the 0.5 inch body diameter. Secure the tool fully in the holder before operation and verify spindle speed is appropriate for the material and tool diameter per the manufacturer or standard machining references. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the tool or flip to the second end if chipping or dulling is observed. Do not use in left-hand spindle configurations.
