The HERTEL 2500506 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), this tool delivers hardness and heat resistance suited for high-speed roughing passes. The chipbreaker geometry on its 4 flutes breaks chips into smaller segments, reducing cutting forces and heat buildup during deep cuts. With a 3/8 inch diameter and 5/8 inch length of cut, it is sized for general-purpose roughing work on milling machines and machining centers. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole.
