The HERTEL 2341543 is a high-speed steel bridge reamer designed for enlarging and finishing drilled holes to precise tolerances in structural steel and heavy fabrication applications. With a 21/32-inch cutting diameter (0.6562 inches decimal), a 5-flute left-hand spiral configuration, and a right-hand cutting direction, this reamer delivers smooth chip evacuation and accurate hole sizing. The oxide coating reduces friction and provides a degree of corrosion resistance during service. Machinists and ironworkers working with bridge pins, structural connections, and alignment holes will find this tool suited to demanding through-hole reaming operations.
This reamer is built for use in metal fabrication shops, structural steel erection, and heavy equipment maintenance environments. Its 4.5-inch flute length and 6.375-inch overall length give it reach for deeper hole applications. The quick-change hex shank allows fast tool changes in compatible drill motors and pneumatic drivers commonly used in field and shop structural work. It handles ferrous and non-ferrous metals in applications where hole geometry and surface finish matter.
Designed for use with quick-change hex shank drill motors and drivers; intended for structural bridge reaming and general metalworking applications requiring a 21/32-inch finished hole diameter.
Bridge reamers should be installed and operated by qualified machinists or ironworkers familiar with structural hole finishing procedures. Secure the workpiece and ensure the drill motor is set to a speed appropriate for the material and tool diameter before engaging the reamer. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and cut-resistant gloves when operating rotary cutting tools. Do not force the reamer through undersized pilot holes; pre-drill to a suitable pilot diameter to avoid tool breakage and poor hole finish.
