The HERTEL 2341360 is a bridge reamer designed for enlarging and aligning holes in structural steel, heavy fabrication, and ironwork applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with an oxide coating, it delivers controlled material removal and extended tool life under demanding conditions. The reamer measures 5/16 inches in diameter with a 4-5/8 inch overall length and a 2-3/4 inch flute length. The left-hand spiral with right-hand cut geometry pulls chips away from the work surface, reducing chip packing and improving hole finish. A 3/8 inch hex shank provides positive drive engagement in hand tools and pneumatic drivers.
Bridge reamers are used by ironworkers, structural steel fabricators, and maintenance mechanics to align bolt holes in steel connections during erection and repair work. This tool is suited for use with ratchet wrenches, pneumatic drills, or impact drivers equipped with a compatible hex chuck. The 5/16 inch cutting diameter is appropriate for aligning holes in light to medium structural members where standard bolt-hole tolerances must be met.
Designed as an OEM-style bridge reamer for use in structural steel hole alignment applications requiring a 5/16 inch finished diameter.
Bridge reamers are typically used by ironworkers and structural fabricators. Secure the workpiece firmly before reaming to prevent movement that can cause tool breakage or irregular hole geometry. Apply cutting fluid to reduce heat and extend tool life when reaming steel. Inspect the hex shank and driver interface for wear before use to ensure full torque transfer and safe operation.
