The HERTEL 19206 is a single-flute countersink designed for producing conical seat recesses in metal and other hard materials. It features a 7/8-inch head diameter, a 60-degree included angle, and a 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank. The single-flute geometry reduces chatter and produces a clean, smooth finish in the countersunk hole. Constructed from high speed steel, this tool maintains cutting edge integrity under sustained use in manual and machine-fed drilling operations. It is well suited for machinists, toolroom technicians, and production shop personnel working with ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
The 19206 is used when a 60-degree countersink angle is required, which is a common specification for certain fastener seat preparations and deburring applications in metalworking environments. The 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill press chucks and milling machine collets, making it compatible with typical shop equipment. This countersink is appropriate for both bench and machine operations where consistent conical recess geometry is needed.
Designed as a standard single-flute countersink for use in drill presses, milling machines, and hand-held drilling equipment accepting a 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank.
This tool is installed and used by machinists and metalworking technicians. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits. Set spindle speed appropriate for the material being cut and use cutting fluid where recommended to extend tool life. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and do not exceed the tool's rated capacity.
