The HERTEL 19195 is a single-flute countersink designed for creating chamfered seat profiles in metal workpieces. Built from high speed steel, it delivers consistent cutting performance on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1-3/4 inch head diameter and 82-degree included angle make it well suited for countersinking fastener holes where a shallow, wide chamfer is required. The 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank provides secure tool holding in standard drill presses, milling machines, and hand-held power tools. Machinists and fabricators install this tool in production and maintenance environments where precise countersink geometry is critical.
This countersink is used in metal fabrication shops, maintenance repair operations, and general machining environments. It is appropriate for both production runs and one-off applications where a clean, accurate countersink is needed for flat-head fastener seating. The single-flute design produces a smooth finish and reduces chatter on harder materials. It fits standard 3/4 inch tool holding equipment found on most drill presses and knee mills.
Designed as an OEM-style countersink tool compatible with standard 3/4 inch straight-shank tool holders on drill presses, milling machines, and similar machine tool spindles.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Secure the shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before running the spindle. Use appropriate cutting fluid and spindle speed for the workpiece material to maximize tool life and surface finish quality.
