The HERTEL 1000293 is a TNMG666R-style indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiC, TiCN, and TiN under the manufacturer grade HC335. The insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with a neutral hand orientation and a 3/32-inch corner radius. At 1.299 inches in length with a 3/4-inch inscribed circle and 3/8-inch thickness, this insert is sized for medium-to-heavy turning operations. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC lathe operators working in production or job-shop environments.

This insert is suited for turning applications involving steel and stainless steel workpiece materials, corresponding to ISO material groups P and M. The TNMG style with G-type chip breaker geometry is commonly applied in continuous and semi-interrupted cuts at moderate to high feed rates. The HC335 grade and CVD multilayer coating provide wear resistance and thermal stability appropriate for these material groups. The insert is held using either a clamp or a pin-lock method, offering flexibility across a range of compatible toolholders. Installation Notes
