The HERTEL 04138582 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size No. 11, with a decimal diameter of 0.1910 inches. The 135-degree split point reduces walking on contact and allows drilling to start without a center punch in most applications. An oxide and TiN coating improves surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in demanding materials. The straight-cylindrical shank seats in standard three-jaw chucks. At 3.5 inches overall length with a 2-5/16-inch flute length, this bit covers the full jobber range of hole depths typical in production and maintenance drilling. It is rated as a heavy-duty grade bit suited to hard and abrasive workpiece materials.
This bit is designed for holemaking in metals including stainless steel, cast iron, high-alloy steels, and other materials that wear down standard HSS tooling quickly. The regular-spiral, right-hand flute geometry handles the majority of general-purpose drilling orientations on mills, drill presses, and hand drills. Web thinning reduces thrust load, which is especially useful in hand-held power tool applications or when drilling through hardened plate. The tapered web configuration adds column strength to the tip. It is used across fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and production lines wherever a repeatable, accurate No. 11 hole is needed.
Designed as a jobber-length drill bit with a 0.1910-inch straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with any standard three-jaw drill chuck or collet accepting that shank diameter. Suitable for use in drill presses, milling machines, and hand-held electric drills.
Installation is performed by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Power down and de-energize any machine tool before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended surface footage for the workpiece material and bit diameter, and apply cutting fluid when drilling ferrous metals to control heat buildup.
