The HERTEL 04138392 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for heavy-duty holemaking in ferrous and hard materials. Built from cobalt steel with an oxide and TiN coating, this bit delivers heat resistance and edge retention in demanding drilling applications. The 135-degree split point reduces walking and requires no center punch on most surfaces. With a 3/8-inch diameter, a 5-inch overall length, and a 3-5/8-inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and drill presses used in fabrication, mechanical, and trade service work. A web-thinned, tapered web design reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation through the spiral flutes.

This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling in metal fabrication shops, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing rough-in, and electrical trade applications where harder base materials are encountered. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard three-jaw chucks.
