The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 88094 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance aluminum machining. Built with 3 flutes, a 35-degree helix angle, and a variable pitch design, it clears chips efficiently while reducing chatter during aggressive cuts. The 0.030-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and improves surface finish at workpiece corners. With a 0.75-inch mill diameter and 1.625-inch length of cut, this tool handles deep slotting and profiling operations in aluminum alloys. The Nplus coating enhances lubricity and reduces built-up edge. Integrated coolant-through capability delivers coolant directly to the cutting zone, extending tool life in high-feed applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in precision manufacturing and job shop environments are the primary users.
This end mill is purpose-built for aluminum and non-ferrous alloy milling. The chipbreaker geometry along the flutes breaks long stringy chips common in aluminum into manageable segments, keeping the cut clean during deep pocket and contour operations. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. The straight cylindrical shank with a 0.75-inch diameter fits standard ER and end mill holders. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC vertical machining centers and horizontal mills running aluminum aerospace, automotive, or general-purpose components.
Designed as an OEM-specification solid carbide end mill for use in CNC machining centers equipped with standard straight-cylindrical end mill or collet-style toolholders accepting a 0.75-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool from the holder. Secure the shank to the minimum recommended engagement depth per the toolholder manufacturer's specification — do not rely on a short stick-out to compensate for holder wear. Verify coolant-through passages in the holder and spindle are clear and compatible with through-tool coolant delivery before use.
